You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account. Users aged 16 to 17 may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on their behalf and accepts responsibility for their use. The Service is not available to anyone under 16, or to anyone previously removed from the Service.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@blitzangler.com of any unauthorised use. You may not share, sell, transfer, or licence your account to anyone else.
You represent that all information you provide is accurate and that your use complies with all applicable laws, including fishing licensing, size, season, catch limit, and access regulations in your jurisdiction.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial recreational fishing purposes. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
This licence does not permit any commercial use, including use by or on behalf of a charter operation, guide service, tournament team, commercial fishing operation, or any resale, redistribution, or provision of the Service's output to third parties, without our prior written agreement.
The Service generates fishing strategies using artificial intelligence, combined with publicly available tide, weather, and map data. Everything the Service produces is general informational content and entertainment. It is not advice.
Specifically, the Service does not provide and must not be relied upon as: navigational guidance; marine, weather, or storm forecasting; safety instruction; emergency information; legal advice regarding fishing regulations; or any professional, licensed, or expert service of any kind.
AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, internally inconsistent, or entirely wrong. It may describe conditions that do not exist, recommend techniques unsuited to your location or skill level, or misstate timings, depths, distances, or species behaviour. You are solely responsible for independently verifying any information before acting on it, and for exercising your own judgement.
Saltwater fishing is a dangerous activity that can result in serious injury, drowning, hypothermia, permanent disability, or death. The Service may suggest fishing from jetties, breakwaters, rocks, surf, inlets, rip currents, flats, and other hazardous locations, at night, before dawn, in cold water, in wind, in fog, and in changing tides.
You assume all risk. You acknowledge that wet rocks are slippery, that tides strand and drown people, that rip currents kill strong swimmers, that cold water causes rapid incapacitation, and that remote coastal locations may have no mobile signal and slow emergency response.
The Service does not assess whether any location, time, or condition is safe for you. It does not know your fitness, experience, equipment, swimming ability, or local hazards. A high score means the Service predicts fish may be active. It does not mean it is safe to go.
You agree that you will, at all times and regardless of anything the Service suggests:
You voluntarily assume all risks of injury, death, illness, and property loss arising from or connected to fishing activity, whether or not influenced by the Service, and whether such risk is known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable. You confirm you are physically and mentally fit to participate in the activities you choose to undertake.
The Service incorporates data from NOAA, Open-Meteo, Esri, and other third parties. That data may be delayed, interrupted, cached, incorrect, or unavailable. Tide predictions are predictions, not measurements, and real water levels vary with wind, pressure, and storm surge. We do not control these sources, do not verify their accuracy, and accept no responsibility for them.
Community "Report a Blitz" submissions are unverified user reports. They may be inaccurate, stale, mistaken, or deliberately false. Treat them as rumour, not fact.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be available, uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, without liability.
You may not, and may not permit or assist anyone to:
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access immediately, without notice and without refund, at our sole discretion.
The Service, including its software, source code, design, user interface, layout, graphics, illustrations, diagrams, text, prompts, prompt engineering, scoring algorithms, hotspot data compilations, curated content, structure, "look and feel," and all improvements and derivatives, is owned by Diamond Hill Ventures LLC and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other intellectual property law.
"Blitz," "Blitz: Angler IQ," the Blitz wordmark, the compass mark, and associated branding are trademarks of Diamond Hill Ventures LLC, whether registered or not. You receive no right to use them.
Output. Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of fees, you may use strategies generated for you for your own personal fishing. We retain all rights in the Service that produced them, including the prompts and methodology. You may not publish output at scale, compile it into a dataset, or present it as your own product or service.
Feedback. If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully sublicensable right to use it for any purpose without obligation, attribution, or compensation to you.
You retain ownership of the content you submit, including field report notes, saved spots, and catch reports. You grant Diamond Hill Ventures a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, modify, aggregate, anonymise, and use that content to operate, secure, analyse, and improve the Service, and to create de-identified and aggregated data which we may use and disclose for any lawful purpose.
You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this licence and that your content does not infringe any third-party right or violate any law. We may remove any content at any time for any reason.
The Service offers a free tier with limited reads and paid subscription plans. Current plans, prices, and read limits are shown in the app and may change.
You acknowledge the Service is a digital product delivered immediately on purchase and that you waive any right of withdrawal or cooling-off period to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Where the law of your jurisdiction grants you a non-waivable refund, cancellation, or cooling-off right, that right applies and this Section does not limit it. Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law, UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, EU Consumer Rights Directive, or any applicable United States state consumer protection statute.
Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us at hello@blitzangler.com is a breach of these Terms and may result in immediate termination of your account.
The Service, including all content, data, AI output, and materials, is provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults and without warranty of any kind.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Diamond Hill Ventures LLC and its members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and suppliers expressly disclaim all warranties, express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, quiet enjoyment, accuracy, and non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing, usage, or trade practice.
We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, accurate, complete, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, that it is free of viruses or harmful components, or that any result obtained from it will be accurate, reliable, or produce any particular outcome, including catching fish.
No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained from us or through the Service, creates any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some exclusions may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Diamond Hill Ventures LLC or its members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, or suppliers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or anticipated savings, arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, product liability, warranty, or any other theory, and whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Diamond Hill Ventures LLC or the parties listed above be liable for any personal injury, illness, drowning, hypothermia, disability, death, property damage, loss of vessel or equipment, rescue cost, or emergency service cost arising out of or relating in any way to your use of the Service, your reliance on any output, or any fishing, boating, wading, or water-related activity.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you actually paid us in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred United States dollars (US$100).
These limitations apply even if a limited remedy fails of its essential purpose, and form an essential basis of the bargain between us. Without them, the Service could not be offered at these prices.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our own gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this Section may not apply to you.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Diamond Hill Ventures LLC and its members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, liabilities, damages, losses, judgments, settlements, fines, penalties, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or relating to: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or third-party right; (d) your content; (e) any fishing, boating, wading, or water-related activity you undertake; and (f) any injury, death, or property damage suffered by you or any person accompanying you.
We reserve the right to assume exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification, at your expense, and you agree to cooperate with our defence. You may not settle any matter without our prior written consent.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you release and forever discharge Diamond Hill Ventures LLC and the parties listed in Section 12 from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, and liabilities of every kind, known and unknown, arising out of or in any way connected to your use of the Service or any activity you undertake in connection with it.

Before starting any proceeding, you agree to contact us at hello@blitzangler.com with a written description of the dispute and your requested resolution, and to negotiate in good faith for at least 60 days.
If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, before a single arbitrator, conducted in the English language. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction. The arbitrator, and not any court, has exclusive authority to resolve disputes about the scope, interpretation, enforceability, or formation of this agreement to arbitrate.
You and Diamond Hill Ventures LLC each waive any right to a jury trial and agree that all claims must be brought in an individual capacity only, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, private attorney general, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate claims or preside over any form of representative proceeding. If this waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim shall proceed in court and all other claims remain in arbitration.
Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court, and either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in court for actual or threatened infringement or misappropriation of intellectual property rights.
You may opt out of arbitration by emailing hello@blitzangler.com with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, including your name and account email. Opting out does not affect any other provision.
Any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, or it is permanently barred, to the extent permitted by law.
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE OF FORMATION — confirm with counsel], United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. Subject to Section 15, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in [COUNTY, STATE — confirm with counsel].
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud or abuse, non-payment, or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account by contacting us.
On termination, your licence ends immediately and you must stop using the Service. No refund is due on termination for any reason, subject to Section 10. Sections 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10 through 16, and 19 survive termination.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will post the revised version with a new "Last updated" date, and for material changes will give reasonable notice by email or in-app before they take effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.
