We do not knowingly collect government identifiers, precise continuous location tracking, biometric data, health data, or special category data as defined under GDPR Article 9. Do not submit such information in free-text fields.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models (see Section 5).

Strategy generation is powered by a third-party large language model provider. When you generate a strategy, we transmit the conditions for that request, including your approximate coordinates, tide and weather values, site type, target species, and any field report text you entered. We do not transmit your email address, password, phone number, payment details, or account identifier to the AI provider.
AI output is generated text. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your circumstances. It is informational only and is not professional, safety, navigational, meteorological, or maritime advice. See our Terms and Conditions for the full disclaimer.
We share information only with the following categories of recipients, and only as needed:

We may also disclose information where we believe in good faith it is required to comply with law, legal process, or a governmental request; to enforce our Terms; to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Diamond Hill Ventures, our users, or the public.
Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient honours this Policy.
We operate in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where data protection law may differ from that of your jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.
We use encryption in transit, hashed credentials, row-level database security, restricted API credentials, server-side authorisation checks, and rate limiting. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot and do not guarantee the absolute security of your information, and you provide it at your own risk. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any regulator as required by applicable law.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, request deletion, request correction, and opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any right. You may designate an authorised agent to submit a request on your behalf.
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and Montana, have comparable rights, including the right to appeal a denied request. To appeal, reply to our decision email with the word "Appeal."
Email hello@blitzangler.com from the address on your account. We will respond within the period required by applicable law, generally 45 days, and may extend where permitted. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We use browser local storage and session storage for authentication, preferences, and caching, which are strictly necessary to operate the Service. Our hosting and authentication providers may set functional cookies. Because we do not track users across sites, we do not respond to Do Not Track signals; we treat Global Privacy Control signals as a valid opt-out request where applicable law requires.
The Service is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it. If you are between 16 and 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to our Terms on your behalf.
The Service displays data from NOAA, Open-Meteo, Esri, and other sources, and may link to third-party sites such as Stripe's checkout. We do not control those parties and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, or privacy practices. Review their policies separately.
We may update this Policy at any time. We will post the revised version with a new "Last updated" date, and for material changes we will provide additional notice by email or in-app. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
